Nicole Lattuca is an artist, curator, designer, educator, and mom of a toddler. Using a pedagogical approach grounded in the belief that all art can be made accessible, she works in dialogue with the histories or nuances of a place to facilitate learning environments, design engagements both short and long, and celebrate the beauty of communities and place. She creates a focused attention to the design, atmosphere, and hospitality of every program and workshop.
Nicole exhibits internationally and has been awarded funded residencies to The Banff Center for Arts and Creativity in Alberta, Canada; at Fogo Island Arts in Newfoundland, Canada; and at Santa Fe Art Institute in New Mexico. Prior to moving to New York, Nicole was the Co-Founder of Practice Space Design Studio, a storefront for art, design, and neighborhood research, in Cambridge Massachusetts. From 2010 to 2013 she was the Curator of Educational Programs at the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal, Canada.
Nicole is currently an AEP artist educator at Dia Beacon. Prior teaching artist positions include: the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Southern Exposure in San Francisco, and the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas.
Nicole holds an MA in Exhibition and Museum Studies from San Francisco Art Institute and an undergraduate BA in studio art from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She now lives in Newburgh, NY with her husband and their child. All three share a studio where their creative energies and chaos commingle.
